**കണ്ണൂർ**: കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ തീരദേശ ജില്ലകളിലും കള്ളക്കടൽ പ്രതിഭാസത്തിനും ശക്തമായ തിരമാലകൾക്കും സാധ്യതയുള്ളതിനാൽ ദേശീയ സമുദ്രസ്ഥിതിപഠന ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രം റെഡ് അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

കേരള തീരത്ത് ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 18ന് അർധരാത്രി മുതൽ ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 20ന് വൈകിട്ട് 5.30 വരെ 1.1 മുതൽ 1.8 മീറ്റർ വരെ ഉയരമുള്ള തിരമാലകൾക്കും കള്ളക്കടൽ പ്രതിഭാസത്തിനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നാണ് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്. തീരദേശ മേഖലകളിൽ, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് താഴ്ന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ, വെള്ളം കയറാനും കടലാക്രമണം രൂക്ഷമാകാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്.
